Getting your five-a-day is easy with these sweet Fruit And Veggie stroller cards.
Printed on sturdy double-sided cards, this set is perfect for teaching babies about colours (and eating all the colours of the rainbow).
Each card has a colourful and happy looking fruit or vegetable on one side and a description on the other. The carrot card, for example, has a friendly-looking carrot on one side and on the other the phrase “Carrots are Orange”.
Each set contains an apple, pear, carrot, eggplant and cucumber card, all with child-friendly rounded corners.
These five beautifully illustrated fruit and veggie cards are super sturdy and held together with a ring and strap that connects to your stroller or bag. Easy to take on a trip but not easy to lose.
About Wee Gallery
Wee Gallery is the lovechild of Surya (a graphic designer) and Dave (a teacher), who became parents in 2002 to a son named Sid (or Siddu if we’re being official).
When Sid came along, they read everything they could get their hands on about baby development and learned these gems:
- newborns can only see as far as 12 to 15 inches away (around the length of your forearm and hand)
- they are most taken with their parents’ faces
- they are drawn to simple but repeating geometric shapes in black and white
- which is great, because high-contrast visual patterns promote infant brain development, and
- at around 1 year of age, they begin to recognize animal forms, later calling them by name.
Surya and Dave were fascinated by the idea of helping their baby’s brain develop by literally playing with visuals, but instead of just drawing black lines on a piece of paper, they created a planet of animals, which continued to entertain Siddu as he got older.
Wee Gallery strive to use eco-friendly materials. They minimize use of plastics and avoid materials that may have dangerous effluents involved in their production, such as PVC. Their printed paper products, made in China, are made from FSC-certified paper and soy-based inks. Their cotton products are produced with GOTS-certified organic cotton, which means no chemical softeners. (That’s why it takes a few washes for swaddles to become super soft.)
Wee Gallery only partners with manufacturers that will abide by a code of conduct that includes ecologically and socially sustainable practices. They must agree to pay their workers a fair wage and provide good working conditions. Among the global partners are China’s Leo Paper group, which is ISO 9000 certified and consistently earn industry awards for good overall practices, as well as our Indian factory which is a GOTS-certified manufacturer of organic cotton textiles.
