When in Marrakech, Kate selected Boucherourite rugs with a neutral wool base and accent colours, created in wool or cotton; perfect for nurseries and to grow with a child as their bedroom changes.

Rug images were taken on site at Le Villa Yasmine in Marrakech. There is also a picture of Kate, in her element at Les Nomades, selecting the rugs in our Morocco edit, including this one!
Boucherouite rugs, pronounced ‘boo-shay-REET’, are handwoven by Berber woman using a variety of recycled textiles including cotton and wool, in this case predominantly wool.
They are wonderfully vibrant in colour and design, with each piece of work representing an outlet of creative expression for the artisan.
Kate recently went on an adventure/buying trip to Morocco with Julia Green, stylist extraordinaire (https://greenhouseinteriors.com.au/) and Pip Brett, retail queen of Orange (https://www.jumbledonline.com/)!
Armed with our trusty guide/negotiator/translator Moh, we hit the Medina to shop for our shops so that we could bring back ‘the goods’. Find everything we brought back in the Moroccan Edit and read more about Morocco in our blog.
